I'm thinking that all the 78 MC's were orange frame and white tank. At least that was the orignal colors. I could be wrong!

West Coast '77 KTM GS6 models had Jackpiner-blue tanks and silver frame. I did a rider-restoration on a well-run '77 250 GS6 with blue tank with new paint, tires, seat cover, nos pipe, fenders, fresh piston, reed valve, etc and sold it last winter to Tucson Skip for $2500, fair deal I think.

If original, unrestored and in good/excellent shape, the Italians are especially hungry, could be that or more.

I have seen a couple of West Coast 76/77 KTM MC5 250's on ePay that had blue tanks and side panels also, so it could be any one of those bikes, but I have never yet seen a 78 with blue panels and tank. The frame serial number would tell for sure. Mike
