Last night we had our monthly POG meeting, and what a meeting it was.

We were treated to a fantastic power point presentation by Conrad and kate Pfeifer who drove all the way to Amherst from Slippery Rock, PA for their presentation, they then had to leave pronto to get back home as they had very early work requirements, they live about 2 1/2 hours from Amherst.  The photos and accompanying music were very moving as Kate's artistic photos focused more on the Family and personal side of the anniversary celebration. Thank you Kate and Conrad......  Hopefully we will be able to have their presentation accessible to all from this website.

Jack had mentioned that Tom was in town and would be at the meeting, Jeff Penton also was in attendance and we had a very pleasant time visiting with them.

It was a very special meeting in many ways as all who attended would attest to.

It was a wonderful weekend!  Being my first Penton event I was expecting a lot of motorcycle "mechanical" talk.  (boring to a non-mechanically inclined person like me)  But I was pleasantly surprised to find most of the conversations consisted of amusing stories of past riding experiences.  Ones that not just riders, but any human could relate to.  Knowing that everyone came from different backgrounds and livelihoods, not to mention parts of the country; what struck me the most was the sense of family...with just one hug from John Penton I immediately felt like I belonged.  What a great group of people!  I had an amazing time and afterwards realized my cheeks hurt from smiling & laughing so much.
To all the organizers, I was very impressed by the level of professionalism with which the whole event was put together. I was expecting a bunch of guys sitting around tables BS-ing.  But all the planned activities were energizing and the way one activity flowed into the next made this so enjoyable to shoot.  Thanks for letting me be able to document this once in a lifetime event!
