I recently sent Dick Lague some ISDT film footage for a project he is working on.  In return Dick sent back three DVDs containing the 2006, 2007 and 2008 ISDE events, it turns out that Dick and his sons were pretty much responsible for these DVDs being made through their company Ignition3  http://www.ignition3.tv/

Tonight, I slid the DVD containing the 2007 event from Chile into the player and was totally blown away by the entire DVD. The film work was excellent, as were the interviews and all of the narration. Our good friend and ISDTRR rider Jeff Fredette was shown and interviewed a number of times. They also showed the club team sponsored by the Missouri Mudders who have hosted the ISDTRR several times.

The entire DVD was absolutely awesome, lots of the helicopter footage reminded me of the footage of Malcolm riding Baja in On Any Sunday.  I am not into the modern scene as much as the vintage, but I can't wait to see the 2006 New Zealand and 2008 Greece DVDs.....if you get a chance check out these DVDs. Probably a number of you already have, I am usually a little slow to catch on.....

Oh geez.  And I thought I had all of my Christmas presents already.

Neat stuff, Paul....I surfed around a little bit at the website and found a link to some footage from the 2006 ISDE in NZ.  Just some awesome trails and special tracks that these guys rode on.  And it reminded me of how fast the JUNIOR team was that year.  I meant to ask Caselli about this when I met him at Unadilla, but they were basically clicking off special test results that would have placed them right behind the winning Trophy team that year (Junior has less riders..but you get the idea).  Some of these members returned in 2008 for the World Trophy Team that woulda, coulda, and shoulda..won the Trophy in Greece. I was amazed that Kurt could laugh about his 2008 experience when I asked him how he was doing post-Greece.

I am so stoked about what may finally happen in 2009 and the years to follow.  The GNCC, WORCs, and OMA series have produced some fast, fast guys.  With the right support...that World Trophy is finally going to come to our shores.  And that is something that any modern OR vintage rider/racer/fan will appreciate.
