Doug Bridges

I am a new member of POG and this message board. My name is Doug Bridges, and after 30 years without a bike I stumbled on to the vintage movement and POG through the internet and have been inspired to get my but in gear and get a bike. I just returned from Abbotsford British Coloumbia with a 1976 KTM (PENTON) MC5 125. It is a nice bike, but is in peices and needs a few things. I am looking forward to working on it and eventually rideing some trails, Poker Runs and hopefully some Enduros In the state of Washington. I will probably have some questions for you guys and will apreciate any help I can get.
Thanks, This is a great resource!

Welcome, you've arrived at the prime site for Penton motorcycles. If you have any questions, this is the place to ask. Good people here, and good advice..

Welcome Doug, you are for sure in the best place. More than you realize. There are a couple of Penton/KTM riders here in the Pacific Northwest. And I live in the Seattle area. Any thing I can do to help let me know.. By the way, there are well over 500 riders that regularly compete in our races. It is a huge group of guys but it has been an honor and a pleasure to ride and race with these guys. If you want to check out the local vintage dirt bike scene

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the links Thom. It is good to know that there are a few members on the west coast. It does not seem that there are as many of the Pentons out here as there are back East. I looked for a long time for one and ended up haveing to go all the way to Canada to get one. It was very interesting getting it back over the border. I don't know if I'll be up to any MX raceing anytime soon, but I hope to come check out those races at Washougal. Maybe I will see you there. I use to race ditrict 37 desert and MX in So Cal in the 70's. It has been a long time and I will need get use to rideing again. I am looking forward to it.
