I started working on a long term project 1975 Six Days yesterday. I got it from a friend a few years age and he had robbed the front end for a BSA dirt bike project. I sat the bike in a corner as I kept my eyes open for a set of 35mm Cerianis. I wanted to get this bike back together because it was the one-year only 1975 frame and the "good" 6D motor that turned over with good compression. I got a set of forks a few weeks age and started putting it back together. When I got it rolling I pushed it on my work stand and removed the seat and tank. I removed the carb and noticed the rubber intake boot was all torn so I removed it to match it up. I then noticed a thick aluminum washer between the cylinder and intake. Someone had milled down the cylinder and placed a washer with a 22mm hole in it. (It has a 28mm carb.) I don't know the history of this bike but it obviously had a lot of time on it. Weird!   Wildman
