I have done a search but have only seen information for Wiseco.  Anyone have part numbers for OEM Sachs 100 and 125cc Pistons and rings? (i.e. 0686-203-003)

Dale,  I have a compete page from the Penton manual on all the piston ass'y., and piston rings.   I believe the pistons differ depending upon whether it is a cast iron cylinder or an aluminum cylinder.   The placement of the rings and type of rings vary, I think.   Not sure about the pin location.  I have heard that others have switched pistons, though.   So tell me if you have a grey cast iron cylinder, or an aluminium cylinder, and what size you are looking for, and I can give the part no. to you.   Or send me an address, and I will photocopy the page and send it to you.  Listed sizes and part nos. are: 48.0, 48.5, 49.0, 49.5 for 100cc and 54.0, 54.5, 55.0, 55.5 for 125cc.  I believe Wiseco offers pistons in oversizes between those listed, in addition to the same sizes.   0.5mm is about 0.020"; so Wiseco would offer a piston each 0.25mm or 0.010" oversize.  I always bored cylinders out as little as needed.   Never wanted to replace a liner.

100cc al. cyl. pistin assy. is 0686 208 015.  When selecting a piston, or assy., keep in mind the availability of replacement rings.

Aluminum cylinders.  Have a 100 with a Wiseco 162P8 going into it that I may need spare rings.  The 125 has a Sachs piston that I will have to pop the lid on to see the size and evaluate the ring condition.  The page from the book with the Sachs information would be handy to archive if you could email it.:)

I do not know how to email a page from my Penton manual.  I can only use old-school mail.   I contacted Wiseco in Mentor, Ohio, and inquired about Penton Sachs pistons being available.  They will respond soon.   You can also contact them directly at //www.wiseco.com.   There is a site for questions.   joe

I believe Wiseco 162P2 is 0.020" oversize, 162P4 is 0.040" oversize, and Wiseco offered oversize pistons for the Sachs at each 0.010" oversize increment. Therefore, I am guessing that your 162P8 is 0.080" oversize.   Ouch!  I'm not sure how much bigger they get?
