This is from the combined SEVMX-FLVMX race at Lake City Florida 2/10. I am on the '77 MC5 400 in a combined moto with later class bikes. The Honda I battle with is an '84 CR125. If you listen, you can hear the bike pop out of gear in left hand corners and a couple of times landing from jumps. I'd have beaten the guy pretty easily if it would stay in gear.

Brian where did you learn to shift? Sounds like you are missing alot of gears.[:0][:0]  I think you need to send the motor to me. Later Gary

That was GREAT!!!!!!  You need to post that on the
"I Race Motocross, therefor I am instantly a Bad---" Face book page.

I heard the mis-shifts, but don't have a clue why.

I Gotta know, when you were cut off and forced to go thru the mud puddle, did you hose down the honda rider?

I think the Honda rider took some liberty's.  But, there is no crying in motocross.

That was really cool.

Quiet the bike down and the Honda rider won't have a clue on where you are at.

Gary, I'm splitting the cases tomorrow to find out what is wrong. There is definitely something wrong in the shifter system somewhere.

David, I use a wired "lipstick" camera mounted on the very top of my helmet.

Last year I had it on my visor, but it moved too much and caused some blurring.

I really really hate camera footage from cameras mounted on the side of a helmet, it just ruins the feeling of riding the bike with the rider.

Thanks G, I'm glad you liked it. I wasnt missing shifts, which I do occasionally, the bike is popping back out of gear after it engages so there is something wrong inside.

As for the Honda rider, yes he took some liberties but he is a very good friend so I let it slide. If it had been someone I didnt know I would have parked him halfway through the second lap, I dont put up with that kind of stuff.

About the mudpuddle, it looks like he forced me over there, but there was a really good smooth line through that whoop section way over to the right and I had to go through the mud to get to it. Everyone drifted to the left-middle coming out of that turn, but if you could get over to my line it was a lot faster. Apparently he was far enough to my left that I didnt get any mud on him. :D

The bike was loud because all the packing blew out of it. Those MC5 pipes are not quiet, but they are not normally that loud.

Thanks Brian for the great footage......you are correct about the camera mounting position.  Good stuff.

I had to look at the other Footage too.  That was the Best Helmut footage I have seen. Glad to hear that the cr guy was your friend.

I was in Orlando a couple of years ago and was wondering what the tracks were like, now I know.  I would like to mount a camera on my helmut and post some pics of us racing out here in So Cal.  ARX makes the best tracks.  Great jumps and killer drop aways which would be fun to post.

Post more.

Brian that works, how's the quality of 480 res? Does this mount with double-sided 3M tape? Thanks, David.

480 is standard non-HD TV res and it looks awesome on a TV. It looks pretty good when uploaded to a site like the one I use too. If you go to my Motionbox page you can look at all of my footage:

The best footage is from the AHRMA races at Marion '09 and Westpoint '09.

Great footage, Thank you for the link! I found this at Wally for under $100 bucks:http://www.walmart.com/ip/Aiptek-MDV/10965671. No tears if it gets smashed. Great to see the the vintage stuff out (Marion '09). I did get an hour in on the Honda yesterday, however the kick starter and chain are on the wrong side of the bike! At least they got the exhaust right.
