not a penton but, i have found a nice what i think is a 1981 250 ktm number in frame is *00213478* in info helpful thanks

That should be a 1980 built in February. If it is a 250, it would be one of the early large fin engines that are the same from 1978-early 80. I have one built in March "003". Mike

If you believe the decals on the tank but I think it can be argued that it is more Penton than most realize... To this day KTM's are called sportsbikes which is what JP called his pentons... Penton is not just a name on a bike it is an Idealology and it is something KTM adopted as a result of Penton's influence on them....
