Super nice show quality Berkshire 100 for sale

72/73 Berkshire 100 for sale,  Was done up with european look.   Fresh restoration. Immaculate frame, cosmetics.  Brand new Doug Wilford motor, not started,  tank restored to super nice not had gas in it yet.  Perfect OEM period pipe,  perfect alloy fenders.  Won two best of shows in NE bike shows.   Concentrating on my 3 x 125s, 250s, 400  so not doing a 100 project, and hti sbike almost too nice to ride! Really, really nice restoration on a Penton Berkshire!   You did lots of nice detail work which shows.   Where are you located.  What work was done to the engine?   Your front forks and hub are on backwards from stock factory position.  Usually, the fork oil drains point backwards, the cable runs behind the fork leg on the left side, and the backing plate brace is angled from the front of the fork forwards.  You sort of have the front end set up like a standard motocross bike.   joe

I think Terry is in the Atlanta area...or I could have him mixed up with someone else.  If he's the guy I'm thinking of, he relieved me of the pair of Yankee's that were floundering in my garage for a couple of years.  That was about 7 or 8 years ago when I was doing some pre-marriage liquidation.  Again, if he's the guy I'm thinking of, he's a square-shooter and is well-known in the southeast vintage mx circle for having well-maintained and concourse restored machinery.

Victor, I'm not travelling to Atlanta to pick up a motorcycle over Spring Break, I'm going to visit my sister, Gloria, who lives in Decatur (a suburb of Atlanta).  Now if I just happen to come back with a Penton, that is another story.....  Last Summer, I travelled to visit two out-of-state sisters and ended up bringing back Pentons.  I think I need to sell my 67 El Camino before I can afford any more "nice" Pentons.  It's a 12 hr drive for me... unless I bring the young children and then it turns into two days and about 18 hrs. each way..   Joe

I am looking at a 1960 El Camino to take my Pentons to the track....a bit pricey, but would fit the bill.

My Dad always let me and Rick Belsole, Rick was 16 and me 14, so he would drive and take his 1972 Ranchero to the races, we once had 5 of us and four bikes packed in to go to Austinburg in Ashtabula....those were the days.

All my Penton friends.....bike was restored by Mike Ghallager who did a bang up job as you can see. The motor is a complete Doug Wilford re-do,  it has 0 hours at this time,  so need I say more on the motor.  This is a very nice restore, and period look earlier Berkshire.   I have too many racing projects, and so need to move this baby I am not using,  so someone else can enjoy it.   the stock pipe is particularly perfect,  hard to find.

I am negotiable on my price,  got other deals working to buy so need to give this sweet Berkshire a new home.

Jeff DeBell, yes you got me right  we split that pair of Yankees , maybe 2001?  I sitll have mine  not restored yet,  but soon,  soon.   Chicago Jerry is also a great guy, we swap and do buisness on Penton stuff.   The 250 I bought fomr him I race very hard, and it has held up well,  of course it's a Penton.

Let me know if any specific quesiotns on the Berkshire,  and hope someone will get it and enjoy it,  I love all my Pentons!
