I recently bought a Sachs bike and on the handle bars the cross bar is square stock, and slightly arced forward. Are these stock? or possibly after market?? thx

I would think back in the day after market, stock had no cross bar. I sold a sachs a few years back that had your type bars on a 1968-9 enduro. LG

I got a pretty  much stock 69 Sachs 125 and it has a high set of handle bars and a round cross bar.  I have my suspicions about the front end, the head lights from somewhere ?? and it has home made mounting apparatus.
I'm not sure of the history, but the bike "may have been" wacked hard in the front end sometimes in the last 41 years...

They made those bars with the square cross bar in the mid-late 60's aftermarket. I had a set on my 67 triumph T100C

I went out and looked at the Sachs bikes I have. Only one doesn't have a cross bar. All the others do, and they are a wide variety of lengths and rises. Do you know who might have made the square cross bar version??  thx

Most likely after market bars. What year and model is your sachs , and what are you wanting to do?

It's a '68 I beleive, and I was just trying to I.D. the bars, as I had not seen any like this before.
