Hey Guys,  I've been fighting the swingarm bolt in my 73 piner.  It is definately rusted to the spacer bushing that lies betwen the swingarm bushings (parts book does not show this correctly, nor is there a part number for the spacer sleeve).  Been soaking with penetrating oil and have pressed the inner sleeve of the right bushing out of the rubber enough that I can now see the end of the sleeve that is over the bolt.  Still can't get the two to separate, may have to cut it to get it out.  Has any body got a good bolt I could buy?  If so, I'll just cut this one to get the swingarm out.

Thanks,

I think that the 73 uses the same bolt as the later ones, up to early 1980, but you might want to verify the number in the chassis manual of 51.03.033.000 There is one on eBay right now. Mike

Thanks Mike, I bought the second one you had linked, first was sold.  I never searched on "KTM", just "Penton"

That is the problem with posting links, you never know who else is looking for the same thing and gets there first. I usually keep around a couple of spares and a set of bearings and usuable tube just in case. When searching on eBay under KTM, I usually start at "KTM 1983" and work my way back clear till 1972. You would be suprised what turns up, especially since most average sellers don't know what year they have, or what year parts will fit others. Mike
