i hope that everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving. i am truly blessed in so many ways and at thanksgiving especially, i take time to pause and reflect on the continued gifts that the Lord gives me daily. my health is good, i am gainfully employed, i have a fantastic,(and pretty cute :D) wife. healthy kids and grand kids, the list goes on and on.
i would like to share this little story. in november 1987, i had been laid off work for a year. my unemployment had just run out, and i had no health insurance for myself or my family. despite seeking employment on a daily basis, i had no prospects. on a friday,i received a call with a job offer for ford motor co but i had to move from suburban chicago to the cleveland ohio area. i started there the following monday and i still work there today. fortunately, i have never lost sight of how blessed i truly am. thanksgiving a special time for me? you bet! i hope that it is for all of you too.
God bless all of you.   chicago jerry

That is something to be truly thankful for. I'm going to think of it here in a few minutes When I climb in my Ford F-150 and headout to Friends(something else to be thankful for).

Today while giving thanks please remember our brave troops who are not with their families today, but rather protecting ours...

Thank you Jerry, It has been a very hard couple of years for us and we are beginning to put things back in order and we are thankful for that, I knew that my wife and I would be spending this day alone because although we had plans to spend the day helping others we could not as a result of illness, but it was nice to have my son show up at the door this morning. He will be spending the day with His Girl friends family this afternoon. My son and my soon to be daughter in law with us will be spending a week in Alaska with my daughter and Her family for Christmas, so I am looking forward to that, May this day be a blessing to each of you as you give thanks to God for his bounty.
