Asking $3,250 OBO...
This old '73 Berkshire (100cc) is ready to ride as-is or placed on display in your living room;)) During my 'slow' 4-year restoration I completely disassembled this motorcycle and rebuilt it using several NOS parts. Many of the specialty fasteners (i.e., axles, chain adjusters, etc.) were re-plated in Zinc/Clear by Fastenal per ASTM B633-98 Fe/Zn 12, Type 3 specifications. The interior of the fuel tank has been coated with POR-15 so you can use gasoline with a 10% Ethanol blend. And the list goes on... Just as important as the Chassis details is the engine was rebuilt by Mr. Doug Wilford (former ISDT Penton Team Manager and expert Sachs engine builder) and has accumulated only 20 miles of service since 2007. This old Penton starts easily and the transmission shifts fine through all gears under load. The front suspension has been rebuilt to stock specifications and the rear is now configured with non-competition shocks which work well for me @ 205lb:-)

Many thanks to the Penton Owners Group and its members for their technical support and information as well as the guys at Buehner Supply Company Inc. (//www.pentonpartsusa.com) for supplying many of the NOS and reproduction parts used for this project.

This bike is sold as-is with no title however I will include a bill of sale. NOTE: The headlight was borrowed from a Penton Owners Group member and is not included in this sale. Sorry...

Thanks-  There's nothing like the feeling you get when you accomplish something like this project on your own.  I considered contracting the restoration to someone else but couldn't swallow the $5,000+ cost estimate for parts and labor so that's when I decided to tackle the job myself.  I recommend for anyone contemplating restoring your own Penton to just do it as there are several folks in the POG (and elsewhere) who are available to help you with advice and parts. I guarantee you'll have fun and will learn something new about 'your' Penton.  When it's all done you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did the job yourself:D
