I think of the sacrifices that were made and the lives lost. May we as a nation never be so self centered that we cannot or will not respond to outside threats. Our nation is the greatest on the face of the earth, because we open our arms to all and stand together as one. May god continue to bless us.  Hank USN 1974-1979

Thanks for serving Hank, Dad is a Pearl harbor survivor, It was not until about 4 years ago did I know most of what went on that fateful day. He just did not care to talk about it.
As I stood on the Arizona Memorial, I had the sense I was on holy ground. It was an honor to be there with my Dad who had not been back there since the war. After that he began to talk and we talked about were he was and what he did.

Thanks Hank for the post.  Thom thank your Father for serving.  My Father served in the South Pacific in WWII and until the last 5 years really never talked about it.  He will not travel to the area and just thanks the Good Lord that he made it Home and that we were able to deter the world threat.
