FINE - I'm surfing when I am supposed to be chipping away at the "Holiday" Honey-Do list.  I really enjoy mountain biking, but am very humble when it comes to the Downhill guys/gals or mountain bike races in general (once got my butt totally kicked by all men and almost all woman at a bike race I competed in...).

Check this out - David Knight vs. 2010 World Downhill bike champ. Believe it?

Absolutely true.  Downhill is wicked and it takes arm, leg, lung, and testi.:D  I never had quite enough of any of them.

I will always fondly remember 1994 when I spent the year "Listening To The Voices."(racing downhill for Mongoose)  One voice would say, "Let it run" and the other one would say "Brake".  They would alternate and get faster and louder until you got to the bottom of the mountain.  My last run ever downhilling was the 1994 World Championships at Vail and I broke a bike in half going about 50 mph.[xx(]  It did get my picture in all the Mountainbike Mags at least.

Cool video!  Thanks for sharing.

LP - the man, the myth.  I think I've seen you talk about your Downhill days before.  And now you can add Desert Racing to your resume.

In looking at the video, it looked like there were some flatter sections that DK could have wailed on a bit more.  But it could have been the angle - they may have been steeper than they appeared.  It was interesting that in the knarly, rockiest section the Downhill Dude did seem to go thru much faster.  And what a hoot with the "Vert" wall thrown in for him to bounce off of.
