I thought the thing was in fantastic shape, especially considering how rare these things are supposed to be.  I've also read several places about how well built these things were supposed to be.  Having said that, these ill-timed bikes motored off into the horizon, following the rest of the Rupp (minibike) products after the Japanese showed up for the dance (Mini Trail, Trail 70, SL 70).

Fantastic shape-Are we looking at the same bike?  They were not very well built either as frames, spokes, and hubs all had problems.  It is a full size bike and not a mini also.

Have to agree with tooclose. The bike is in great shape. Knowing the history of Rupp, all the way from his first go-kart (kit) on up to his snowmobiles, which in the day were winning races regularly, his motorcycle just didn't get the attention or the promoting the snowmobiles did. Great piece of Rupp and motorcycle history if you ask me.

This bike has been for sale a few times.  He had it on c'list for $200.00obo, then must have found out it might be worth more so pulled the $200 ad and replaced with $800.00.  When it didn't sell he went the ebay route last summer.  Looks like an OK bike, but it's not like you can get Rupp replacement parts that easily.
