Two clips from yesterday at War Eagle MX in Auburn Alabama, one the '77 MC5 400, the other my modern '99 YZ125 for comparison. The only difference really is I dont do a double-double-double section on the '77. The bike will do it, I am too much of a wuss to commit to it a pull the trigger. I'll do it the next time. I think the guy on the modern KTM that I pass was a little miffed I passed him twice. :D

The guy I passed was born in '77 and he didnt even know where KTM came from so he asked to ride the MC5, and I gladly let him take it for a spin. I told him, "now, dont let this thing get you in trouble, it may be old, but it is FAST." He was shocked at how fast it was.

Great!  I especially liked watching your shadow when you were on the YZ.  It showed a lot of body language.  Thanks for sharing.

Ron,

You are right, it is neat to see that. I have bought a tripod for my camera so I can set it up and get regular video of me riding, which should be a neat tool too.

I'm kinda known for my "body English" on the bike.:D By that I mean, its a nice way to say I am kinda wild and squirrely. I dont crash very often, but I spend a lot of time with my feet flying off the pegs and the rear end swapping around. I think its from learning to ride on little underpowered Honda XR/XL 75s and 80s, you had to flog the daylights out of them to go anywhere and I never outgrew it I guess.

My motto has always been "I dont care what the rest of the bike is doing, as long as the front wheel is pointed where I want to go".

It is neat when you do a video and have side benefits of "The Shadow".
