I want to tell you all that the OVBSA RR on the 6th of Aug was a real great time and lots'a fun.  There were only about 35 riders there-so all of you that didn't attend missed a good thing.  The run consisted of black top. gravel, woods trails with water crossings totaling about 70 miles.  Plus the weather was on our side-not too hot and sunny with some over cast. As always my buddy Rex Gary and I got lost right out off the start poduim, but that is half the fun of the event.

I would like to thank Clark Fancey,Ted Guithrie And Steve ? for laying out the ride.  Ted and Steve had some colorful signage along the wood sections telling the riders to be on the lookout for alligators,UFOs and yes this is realy parts of the BSA RR tail.  We didn't see any of the gators (we were happy about that) nor were there any UFOs.  How ever. there was some mud that the gators could have been hidding under.

We left at the end of the ride to get back up north for Dane's
benefit. So we don't know who took the prizes home

Try to make next springs ride.  There should be no excuses for not making it part of your schedule for next year and supporting the OVBSA club.  The were 2 rders there from CT and Maryland and they have been attending for years.

I rode my 83 175 PE and there were older bikes then mine on the run.  You don't have to have a old bike to be part of the event.  Any thing will do as long as it looks like you can ride it on the road, is not too noisy and has something that looks like a liecense plate.

Hope to see you all there for the spring RR.

See you down Old Dusty,
Amherst Paul :D
