Deliberated on adding this to the "what did you do to your Penton today" thread.  After much evaluation decided to turn my attention the the steel tanker exhaust pipe while paint cures on several other items.  The shroud was bent, dinged, and previously welded just behind the chrome mount.  The end piece had also been tacked on at some point.  So carefully I cut the shroud away expecting to have the stinger showing.  What now appears to be a discovery moment the stinger is actually loose (moves in and out slightly and can be rotated).  1.  Do I now need to remove the back leg guard and next
section of cone to have the stinger welded in place.  2.  Since the diameter is smaller at the mounting point, fabricate a different mounting brackets.  Comments and suggestions welcome for this learning moment.
