Finally wound up getting a new bike to replace my 1998 KTM 300 and I am stoked. It's blue, but bleeds orange. 2012 Husaberg TE300. Got it from Wheelsport. Very easy guys to deal with.  I can't wait to get it broken in to see what it really does. So far, it's sweet.

I wo0nder if Christini(?) has a 2 wheel drive kit for it yet?  LOL

Latest issue of Dirt Bike has a review. Nothing but great remarks.

Mike the 300 motor I think is a KTM 300 motor. Know that is what they where running in them this year in the national enduring series.

The Husaberg two strokes are KTMs in blue plastic, and thats not a bad thing.

Its pretty much all KTM. DB said it pulled harder than the 2011 KTM. It has new porting, jetting, and Tassinari reed.I guess the 2012 KTMs will have same engine. I guess its a matter of whether you like blue or orange. It really means nothing to me because I can only ride my 2009 300 to 50-60 percent of it capability! All these bikes far exceed my ability to ride them at their limit but the technology sure makes trail riding fun! I luv KTM 2-strokes!

I have heard of taking a KTM 250 and put on a 300 kit on it makes a great bike. A friend  of mine did this and I hope to try it out.

Now I'm gonna put my 1998 300 up for sale!

From what I understand  it's a 2011 chassis, 2012 motor. And that the 2012 KTM 300 xc will have shock linkage.

Wanted something a little different. If they hadn't made the Husaberg 300 I would have gotten the KTM anyway.

So far I'm just breaking it in. I'm going to throw, dambn near the whole catalog from Enduro Engineering at it!!!! Including a Rekluse. The igntion switch, depending on where it's set at, made  a noticeable difference. Hit or no hit, so to speak.

Never ridden an enduro before, it was always hare scrambles, so I'm going to set it up for enduros. Light, plate, etc. But I'll try the Indy Enduro cross next year though.

To me it looks better than the KTM. If they made a Husaberg 990 Adv. I'd still keep my orange one.
