Have nothing but good things to
Say about it. Will we see it soon
On the KTM 2-strokes?

Didn't Honda try something on a Paris to Dakar 3 stroke entry years ago? Not sure if it was fuel infection though.

Direct injection is good for industrial type engines and relatively low performance engines.  But they are not good for high performance engines.  A injector throttle body is better for high performance. I think I would rather stick to a good carb.

It's like the auto industry was 25 years ago.  The other day I was talking to a kid about cars and said something about the secondaries opening up on a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor.

Was pitted next to a competitor with the new Ossa this weekend, in NY. He offered to let me take it for a ride, since I have it's distant cousin the MAR, at home. I declined, but several others (mostly dealers) rode it and loved it. $8000.00 and you can have one too. I was happy to see they didn't go with the upside down forks that were on the prototype. The backward engine's a little funky though.

Oh yes, the GM industry standard in 4 barrel carb. I used to lock open the secondaries so the butterfly was always open. seemed to give it a bigger kick when you punched it and it sounded good too. The quad had the largest secondaries on the market at the time. Made my 68 Olds 442 one of the fastest cars in town, until I bought a 69 Motion Sport Camaro (now that was fast) lol

Donny, My buddy had that same 442. We ran it into a telephone pole with the cops in hot pusuit. That was the end of that car and my face was a mess for years, I hit the windshield from the back seat. When the cops finally caught up they drew there guns on us. As I sat in the middle of the street spitiing out parts of my teeth and blood running 50 yards down the hill my response when they told me to lie down on the ground was get me a F%&*ing ambulance. You could hardly tell if you meet me now and my buddy died later from other fast behaviour. I believe the doc put in over 400 stitchs, they use really small stitchs when you get a plastic surgeon. Thank god my brother called for a plastic sugeon or I would have looked like frankensteins monster. I laugh now but that was scary S*%#. Every time i see an old 442 it takes me back. Gavin

I have owned a fuel injected 4 stroke Husky (TE250) now for 3 years and love it.  It runs awesome, you can program it to do anything you want whenever (remapping) and there are no altitude adjustments for it, just ride anywhere and have a blast.  Never thought I would say it but I don't care to own a carb again on a modern engine. My 2 cents!;)

Now, that's not to say, I do still enjoy rebuilding the old Bing's, Mikuni's, Gurtner's and Schebler's on the old bikes![]

It's neat to see some of the old marques coming back.Remember when mx/off road used to have an international flavor due to the euro brands,etc.? Bitchin' looking Ossa enduro bike.

The Quadrajunk....tossed that and ran a Carter 625 AFB with a Edelbrock SP2P manifold on my van. Not really sure if it helped but looked good.

Wow- the fuel injection on the OSSA Enduro is a fascinating read. Injection in the crankcase AND the cylinder (head) must be a way to address the high performance issue that Dwight said would be a shortcoming of FI with a two-stroke.

Neat stuff - but it does look expensive.
