I need your help in locating a pipe for a 1974 Jackpiner project. If you have an extra pipe or suggestions on a source for a pipe your help would be appreciated.

Following are some pictures of the project I have been doing with my daughter.  We have stalled as the company who is making my pipe has taken 11 months so far and I still don't have it or my old pipe.

It's not 100% original but we are bringing another Penton back to life.  We started with a pile of parts and with a lot of help from some great POG members we have had a great experience.  Thanks to Chicago Jerry, Al Buehner, Gary Ellis, Larry Perkins, Tom Brosius as well as many others on this site!

My email is: [email protected]

Thanks,
Mike

What is wrong with the pipe in the photo? Give me a call. Later Gary

Gary,

Thanks I will give you a call.

Unfortunately I sent the pipe to someone to use as a pattern.  They say they will get to it but its been about 10 months so I'm looking for another solution.  I was hoping that once he has the pipe bent for me (and I make sure it fits) that we would have a source for Jackpiner pipes.

Hopefully we will.

Thanks,

Dennis Jones

Very Nice :D

Not many of those rare non-laydown shock 74 models around. They make the best racers, good find.

I like the black frame, it looks great with the blue plastic and MX tank. I may have to do the same with the 73 Jackpiner I picked up recently after Gary rebuilds the engine once he gets healed up some from his recent shoulder dislocation.
Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery. Mike

Dennis,
good eye,

that is the 1st true 74 Piner i ever took notice to,
even has those little ears on each side of the rear frame loop for the fender mount,
conical rear wheel and 35mm forks, sweet package !!!

i have the same bike in the 250 version that came with the cool MX pipe and green background # plates,

"IMO" i think these true 74's are as much as or even more rare then the yellow tank 250's ??

Mike,
great job that you and your Daughter are doing to the Piner,
keep the progress pics coming !!

regards,

If you haven't found a pipe, there is a pretty fair on on eBay right now, from a POG member:
