If any of you guys are not members of the POG your are missing out on some great Penton information.  The "Still Keeping Track"  newsletter is more than worth the $ 20.00 per year membership dues.  Heck, a copy of the original "Keeping Track" recently sold for over $ 55.00 on ebay.  What a deal, join the POG for $ 20.00 per year and get four newsletters per year. The POG has some exciting projects coming up and you should be a part of them.  As a member you are always welcome at any POG board meeting and we have been invited to some really nice places for our meetings. In the past year we have been to Karl Schneider's Custom Fab shop and saw how the replacement Penton parts are made.  We had a meeting at the AMA Museum and was given a personal tour by Ed Youngblood and Mark Mederski. Our "regular" meeting place isn't too shappy either, the KTM headquarters in Amherst, what a mix of the old and the new.  We were recently given a tour of the new state of the art automated parts department and warehouse facility. To all of you current members, thanks for your support.  Your support pays for this web-site, the newsletter, and has funded many important projects that have enabled a lot of Penton history to be gathered while the main cast of characters are still around. If you need a membership application one can be downloaded from this site.  Hope to see you at the next meeting.  Paul

Thomas,
My earliest copy is the Setember, October 1973 issue.  On the top left cover it reads,

No. 10  September 1973
No. 11  October   1973
Apparently they were a monthy newsletter and this one is titled " Special Six-Day Issue", Billy Uhl is on the cover and the ISDT in the USA is the main feature of the newsletter.  My math, counting on my fingers, would indicate that Dec. of 1972 would have been issue number one. Issue 13 is February so they must have ceased being a monthy between #10/11 and #13, I don't have #12. The last one I have is # 26, October of 1976.  Matt Weisman was the man who did the newsletter. Matt's wife Barb, who is currently a POG boardmember, did some of the artwork on the covers and also was a Hi-Point model in some of the catalogs, their daughter was also a catalog model. Before the "Keeping Track" was born, Penton published a dealer newsletter entitled "Keep"em Winning",  Matt did those also.
What are the issue numbers on your early newsletters? Is the Jan of 73 issue #2 ???
