A while back a "friend" brought some bike stuff to me to sell for him as his area couldnt find a buyer. It's been months since this happened, and now he want's me to store this stuff for free cuz "I have lots of room". When does this go past being a friend? and on to "using" someone? No names, Thx

If you are to the point that you are questioning the arrangement then yea, he is stepping over the line. If they presume you have the room, then definetly yes.. do your friend a favor and ask him to pick up his stuff.  It is his stuff so it is his responsibily.
I am careful not to over step the bounds with my friends, they are more important than anything I may have but that does not mean they can use me.

Speaking of friends brother Thom, how you been?

I made it out the 11 miles from home for the Portland race early this month--2nd hottest day of the year, took some of the fun out. Didn't see you there spanking the 60+ Evo class.

Hope things are well with you, Chris and family.

I had a friend pick up an store a bike for me down south till February.  Even though she is a good friend and did not ask for it, I gave her $150 for the service.  If I don't show up to pick my stuff in Feb i would understand if she got upset with me.  If you make a prior arangment and the time expires, all bets are off.

Mac,
We are doing fine, I hated to miss the portland race, it is one of my favorite races of the year. I hated to miss seeing you too.
My credentials were up for renewal. As it turned out I had nothing to worry about but at the time, I felt I needed to take the time to go over the material I would be tested on. I am going to have to miss a few more races but the plan is to make the woodland series that starts in Oct.
