Looking for a Hi-Point aluminum gas tank that will fit my 1974 400. Any help will be much appreciated

Kip Kern

Get in touch with Al, he had a few at Mid Ohio

Sorry Guys,

The alloy tanks that I had at Mid-Ohio will only fit the 1972 model bikes with the round tube back bones. They WILL NOT fit any of the high breather frames.

A word of caution: what you need to look for on the alloy tanks:
for the high breather 1973-76 bikes - the front part of the tank that goes over the frame is square shaped.
for the 1972 frames - the front part of the tank is round shaped.

Thanks to Dennis Jones for selling me a beautiful aluminum tank.
now I can ride my '75 250 to work without worrying about having a glass tank unglue it's self having fuel in it 24/7

Dennis Jones

Glad you're happy with it Joe, It had sat on my shelf long enough.
