Well my racing season on the Penton came to a screeching halt last weekend at EZ-Jim's as my engine siezed.  Last night a good friend of mine and I pulled the engine and the head to see what was going on.  The piston and cylinder looked to have some slight scaring but nothing you could feel with your fingers.  Rings appeared to be ok.  The bottom end was another story.  With the head off we could not get the crank to rotate.  Some slight rocking produced a kind of sand paper on metal sound.  I figured it was no good at all.  The engine was also full of gas.  I'm guessing some junk traveled with the gas to the bottom end and did some real damage there.  Anyway I was going to tackle this if I could do it before Barber but I was just thinking it would be a top end.  With three kids a wife that gives nonstop instruction and 2 abused Triumph road bikes my time is pretty much gone.  So I'll probably get in contact with Chi-Jerry this fall or winter and get it up there and reload for next season.  This season is not a total loss as it has been a blast and my friends dad an admitted Bultaco addict has offered me a 125 Alpina to use at Barber.  So if anything I can go to Barber end my racing season and leave with a smile on my face!

I'll be doing a complete over haul on the bike so I'm sure I'll be reaching out for advice and suggestions this fall and winter.
