Gentlemen and Ladies of course I have a question. My 1976 Penton MC5 had the forks changed to Simons from what I understand the day it hit the dealer. The original triple trees I have and they are as new and I think they never once saw daylight except for the time it took to change them at the dealer when the bike was new... the day my uncle peeked in the box and put them on the shelf... the day I bought the bike and did the same... and last week.

My long winded question, is the frame silver the same silver that is on these triple trees and handle bar clamps? I can have exact paint duplicated but I want to be sure this is in fact the same silver as the frame. I know you guys have mentioned silvers that were close or near exact in past threads but I cant find any discussion about the triple tree color.  I finally have the bike torn down and ready for blast and PAINT.:D

George,
The silver on the original triple clamps should be the same color as the frame. Lee

Actually the 3x clamp silver is different than the frame, Dupli-Color 1650 2 coats follow with a light coat of clear!
