400 crankshaft wanted. The early 400 type, can be weighted or unweighted type. Jut not the later ('79) restroked one.

My 400 crank won't true up. Does any one have a crank they can spare to get my 74.5 400 back on the track?

hi adrian.  now that my race weekend is over, i should get a chance to see if i have one. do you just need a core to rebuild or one that is ready to run?   chicago jerry

I need a core to rebuild thanks Jerry! The motor has been water blasted and ready for paint. Just need the crank done to start rebuild.

As to why it wont true... I got the bike maybe 11 years ago when getting a rod kit was hard here in Australia. I bought the bike in pieces, but a new rod had been fitted.
Unknowingly to my crank builder, the guy had used a stepped pin to convert a jap rod kit to fit! He attempted to press the pin through and tweaked it. It gets close, but not good enough to use.
I don't want to go to the expense of a full rebuild and not have it right.:)
