While I was out just now making a few laps around the yard with the lawnmower I was thinking of the day's as a boy racing all over S.C.& G.A. on my NEW 125cc PENTON and now I am without a ride, cutting grass, and paying bills,MAN RACING SURE WAS A LOT EASIER WHEN DAD PAID THE BILLS!!!!

Tom, when I was cutting my grass last night, I was thinking the same thing as you.  I picked up my first real race bike, a 125 Penton Six-Day, on August 9, 1972, which is coming up on its 30th anniversary.  Dad, naturally, bought the bike then (although I paid him back for all my Pentons and racing expenditures - it took me six years!)
I'm finishing up my first project, a 1972 Six-Day, and I'm hoping to hit my local track, just for nostalgia, on or around August 9, 2002.  The bills, however, still need to be paid.
