This time last year, perhaps like yourself, I was anxiously awaiting the new year. The John Penton Movie had wrapped up filming for the most part and was entering into the final phase for a spring release. What followed throughout the new year was almost describable in honoring the man, his vision, and family values. We've also had friends along the way who are no longer with us in body but I know their spirit is still with us. The December Christmas meeting mostly capped off what is/was twelve months of many unforgettable lasting memories. The meeting was bittersweet in one respect. Paul Danik, who had stepped down as president of the Penton Owners Group in October after serving ten years was going to hand over the gavel to another individual. In part due to his recommendation and tutorage I accepted that challenge. I was happy in one respect that there was no collective gasp from the attendees as the installation became official (just one heckler in the back). So..... with some huge shoes to fill and a year that might never be improved on... what can we do top 2014? I expect memberships to rise as the movie touches more viewers and they learn about our group. The E commerce merchandise ordering system should be up and running soon. Plus there are some great events in 2015 that would be great opportunities to get your cycles dirty or at least get them out and seen. Thank you all, it's been an incredible year indeed!!

Please join me in thanking Paul for the twelve years he has devoted to making the Penton Owners Group what it is today.

It is also important to recognize all the officers, volunteers, paying members, and individual donations, which make this one great collective motorcycle community!

Let me stand patiently in a long line of those who wish to congratulate Paul Danik on his years of service overseeing the POG meetings and all things connected to Penton. If it wouldn't of been for Paul and his never wavering commitment to the brand and the family , I would never of joined, never had a Penton and never would of had a speaker (Paul Danik) at the 2 Wheel Tuesdays at the Movies and who could forget Paul, Jack and John Penton on my show talking about the upcoming John Penton movie. To Paul Danik my friend I say, "Job Well Done". To Dale we wish you nothing but the very best as you assume the Presidency of POG and look forward to many more years of Pentons and the wonderful Penton People. Larry Ward

Hats off to Paul for all he has done for the group.
His Huge Shoes will be hard to fill.
Good luck to Dale who I think will be someone who has
that ability to fill those big shoes !

It is with gratitude and appreciation that I give my thanks to Paul for his 16 years of dedication to the POG, of which 10 years was serving as President. He has been the "light bulb" for this organization as he has always come up with creative ideas of things to do. He has also been the driving force behind the scenes to make these things happen, which is why many of our meetings and events have been very successful.

My congratulations to Dale for stepping forward and serving as President. I see him bringing the POG into the new technologies that more and more people are embracing for communicating with each other (ie. Face book). Dale is familiar with these and uses them. Heck he even knows how to post photos on this forum, so I have full confidence in him steering the POG into the future.  [8D]

Paul you will be missed at the helm but it looks like the Penton Owners Group is in great hands with Dale as President. There will be time now for your family and for yourself.Focus on what you love. Besides your family the "Penton history". You have set the bar for all other vintage motorcycle clubs to try and stay on par with the POG ideas and passion. You have done great things and now handing off a successful well organized group to Dale who has already proven he has what it takes.Much success to the Penton Owners Group!!
Paul maybe now we can go for a trailride :-)
You know where I live so lets go.......
Always your buddy
Paul
