High Breather question

How long was the high breather in production on the 54- series?
I have an oddball frame while I have personally seen a high breather frame with 54-603xxxxx. And what was the non high breather for?

Doug when I lived in Texas I ran into a parts bike with motor stamped late 1975, The frame was a non high breather, The back bone tubing was the same round back bone tubing used on the 1976 MC-5 bikes, Just figured it was some type pf transision period into the mc-5 model. Anybody else have a answer for this one....
