Hi folks,
Anyone here know what kind of hubs were used on the Penton Mudlark? Looking for new shoes for mine.
Thanks,

Check with Matt at Speed and Sport.  He has REH listed in their brake shoe offerings.

What Dale said, Matt can fix you up. Sometimes he wants your old cores so he can get them relined with more modern lining.

Thanks,
Was hoping to find shoes ready to go. Already contacted Matt. Re-lining is an option. But between the spare shoes I have, shipping them out there, having them re-lined and shipped back, I'll be in to brake shoes for around $140.00.
Just figured other brand bikes most likely used the same hubs, and thought I could find some new shoes that would fit.
Thanks for the responses.

Send me some dimensions and a photo.  I have a set of Rickman shoes that haven't been installed yet (but need to).  Since the hubs are so similar they may be an alternative source.

WoW! It's been a while since I've bought some, but from my job I know shipping is getting very expensive.

Still looking. Have a couple more leads in the UK.
Kip, Unfortunately, Rickman Zundapp brakes and the brakes on the Mudlark aren't the same.

Gary,
You beat me to my reply to Gordon.  We have compared the REH and Rickman and they are not compatible.

"Gordon,
In a search I see on MX Trax a reference made to Labretta fitting a REH 6" hub.  Can't confirm or deny but looks plausible and worthy of further investigation and directed questions to seller.

Just to update my brake shoe search.
Between this forum and Trials Central I was able to confirm that Lambretta Scooter shoes are a fit for the Penton Mudlark. You can get them in the UK much cheaper than here in the states, but I was able to find a shop in PA that carries them for $18.00 a pair. The only difference I can find is the OEM ones have a 12mm steel sleeve in the pivot hole, and the Lambretta ones just have a 12mm hole drilled through the aluminum.
Thanks for the help.
