I just came from a motorcycle swap meet and I saw a Penton frame with a tank on it for sale.  The tank was rattle canned black, but it was easy to see the tank was originally green.  It was a similar shape as my blue JackPiner tank.  Was the green 6 Day fiberglass tank the same as the fiberglass Jack tank?  I need a good tank and I think I could get this frame and tank for the right price tomorrow.  Thanks.  Tim C

All the tanks of the same era/type (early toaster, small MX, watermelon, later toaster) are all the same other than color. I am using a '72 Jackpiner toaster tank on my '74.5 400 and I am using a '74.5 small MX tank on my '72 Berkshire. Also, many tanks have one color on top and another color under that. For example, my Jackpiner tank has green under the blue, and my Berkshire has blue under the red.

Thanks Brian.  Same tank, different color.  That's what I was hoping.

Missed it today.  Someone got a deal at $25.  Yes, $25 for the tank and frame.  There was also a JP airbox in the frame.  Oh well.
