6 Volt & 12 Volt ?

I would like to know if the early Pentons had 6 volt
lighting system or did they always have 12 volt?

Mike,

Both the Motoplat and Bosch ignitions that Pentons were equipped with were 6V.  The new aftermarket MZB / Powerdyanmo ignitions are both 12V.
