I am restoring a 1972 JackPiner and would like some input for new tires.  I would like a look as close to stock as possible without breaking the bank.  Thanks for the input ahead of time.  Tim C

Especially if you are going to compete in MX or Enduro events, I like the performance and vintage look of Pirelli MT-16's. Mike

Thanks Mike.  The only competition will be shows.  Before I search, do you know of anyone here on the forum that might sell tires?

Denniskirk.com is the best affordable and reliable retailer I know. Any of your favorite motorcycle shops can order them through Tucker Rocky also, but Dennis Kirk is probably the cheapest. The smaller rear tire is best for 175's. Mike

The 110/100-18 MT16 is the perfect tire, along with the matching MT16 front.

I've been running perille mt 16's for 20 years (wow already)
the only problem I have is on the chromolly framed Pentons there a might to big to clear the chain guards.  I  ended up grinding some rubber off the side knobs for clearance. I know this sounds barbaric to some, but their dam good tires in the northeast woods where roots rocks and clay prevail[8D]
That would be a perelli 80/100x 21 MtT 16 unicross up front.

The 110/100-18 MT16 fits on my '72 175 that still has the chain guard on it with no rubbing. The Metzler is not available in a small enough size for anything smaller than a 250, and Metzler is owned and made by Pirelli now anyway, the Unicross and MT16 are made side by side in the same factory in Brazil. There is only one size of the front, I think its an 80/100-21.
