Howdy folks,

I've got a very nice 1974 Penton Berkshire 100 ISDT Replica, originally owned by former Penton ISDT Manager Doug Wilford, up for sale.

This bike was ridden to a Gold Medal in the 19th Annual Leroy Winters Memorial ISDT Reunion Ride at Zink Ranch, near Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2014.  There it was equipped with Works Performance shocks, which are not included. Since then it has been started regularly and ridden up and down the driveway.  Add your favorite shocks and have a proven winner.

The bike and I are located near Kings Mountain, North Carolina, just west of Charlotte.

Frame V.I.N.:  4027159

Engine:  37994 97 Cm

Engine built by Doug, with all of his special touches.

ISDT Team colors.

MZB Powerdynamo electronic ignition

28mm Bing carb, NOT 27.5mm

Original Girling shocks.

35mm Cerianni forks.

ISDT Team style case guards.

Hi-Point rack & tool bag.

Hi-Point rims and Stainless Steel spokes.

Kickstand & Centerstand.

Start easily and runs S T R O N G !

I shot a one handed video of starting the bike and it running and idling. Sorry about the poor quality, but I think you'll get the idea. I generally turn the petcocks off and run the carb out of fuel before putting a bike up, so it took four kicks to light off. Once warm it will start on the first or second kick.

You can view the video at: https://youtu.be/ktJvsnCxy2w

Please keep in mind, due a damned decrepit worn-out locked-up shoulder, I have not had a chance to wash the bike. Please try to look past the dirt, dust, mud and grime.

Howdy folks,

After discussing the former Doug Wilford Berkshire at length with Paul Danik we have verified our original impression that this bike was NOT actually ridden at the Six Days.

However, during the inspection Paul recommended I discovered that it has an MZB Powerdynamo ignition, rather than the original Motoplat.

No wonder it starts so easily and runs so well.

In need of raising some cash as soon as possible, I have reduced the price of the Penton Blue Berkshire to $3,000.00 FIRM
