Thin coat used to fill in scratches and pits in fiberglass.

Over time, any concerns?

Thanks, RP

I would use epoxy resin instead of Bondo. However, the color on the tanks is not paint, its gelcoat or colored resin, and its fairly thick so unless the scratches are very deep you can actually lightly sand and then buff it out.

RP, Pressure check or plug and fill the tank up first and check for leaks. I am working on the same thing on a 74.5 piner at the moment. I pulled out some existing Bondo from the previous owner with a wood rasp to find some hairline cracks. Fortunately I have a friend who is into boats lay up some glass and resin. Used Bondo for the finish shaping.
