The POG family invites you to join us for the annual family night celebration.  The gathering will be held on Thursday December 1st beginning at 7:00 pm and to be held at the KTM building in Amherst, Oh.

The nights agenda will include the December Penton Owners Group meeting, entertainment, food, and potentially yummy snacks (not necessarily in that order). Favorite holiday dishes, deserts, and treats are always welcome, but not mandatory to attend

The POG meetings are open to members, non-members, friends and family. You are invited to join us in a warm night of remembrance and fellowship.

The meeting was truly enjoyable.

In the years past, we would have to get to the meeting extra early to arrange the room, snag chairs out of the KTM offices, set up tables, etc to accommodate the unknown number of people that would be attending.
What a surprise it was to see the room already set up and decorated. Heather, the POG Secretary who also works for KTM, took it upon herself to recruit some of the KTM workers to get the room ready for the meeting. Thank you Heather!  You are amazing!

Bill Smith, can you post some photos?

Frank Gallo gets the long distance award for showing up at the meeting. It was great seeing him.

Conrad surprised Paul Danik and entertained everyone else with a music video that he presented. [:0] There is talk of putting this on U-tube and linking it to this web site for everyone to see and hear.

It was wonderful to see our regular POG members and some new ones in attendance. It was especially good to see the POG's first lady, Donna Penton (John's wife) show up and being able to talk to her.

I'm still not entirely sure how she manages to multitask so fluently.  After afternoon preparations with KTM IT for videos, corralling coworkers to move tables and chairs up from the building basement, rearrange and prepare the meeting room, perform club secretary duties, get herself food and snacks, and make coffee throughout the night... Heather still found time to snap photographs [8D]  How does she do it [?]

Ed Barth and Nikki Gilbert made the 1-1/2 hour trip for a first time visit. He received a poster created for him of his cover shot for the AMA American Motorcyclist.

Conrad addresses the group prior to the viewing of his song and powerpoint video (more to come on that) [8D][8D]

We were also treated by a delightful presentation which was the result of a trip made by the Barb & Matt Weisman and DiAnn Maier.  How many of you can say you took a cruise on the largest freighter on the great lakes?  Matt has some insight on the subject having done research on historic aspects of the Lorain area and also written a book "The Great Lakes Vessels of Augustus Jones and his Shipbuilding Sons William, Benjamin Buel, George Washington, Frederick Nelson and James Monroe from 1818 to 1881.  Through the lense of their cameras we were able to experience a number of aspects of the trip including unloading, cruising, the Soo locks, and the stop in Deluth where the Paul R. Tregurtha gets loaded with low sulfur coal.

Barb and Matt centered in photo, Larry Maier just above John's hand.

Dale & the POG Family,

Thank you for all you've done. I love the portrait. It is definitely going on the wall. Nikki and I truly enjoyed ourselves. What a great group of people.

Also thank you John Penton for the photo afterwards!
