frame ????

I have a frame # 901 01668. Not for sure what it is or where it came from? KTM 175 motor woun't fit. ?? Ol Dave

It should be a January of 79 frame, and a 6 fin 175 should fit, however I'm not sure if the older style 7 fin would fit without pipe interference. The only reason why it wouldn't fit is if it was a 420 frame  which shares the rear engine bolt with the swing arm, and they were offered in late 79. Mike

Mike, looks like I messed up, When I re-done my ol mule I used an old frame and did't check it out. I made brackits for Sachs motors first, and went to change to a 175 motor today and no fit??  Have no idea where I got the frame? I have a 1977 swingarm fitted. Everything looks good but just won't work. Ol well, been one of them days. Later

Bob, I think your right its a 79. I kind of remember I got it with a 250 KTM motor someone had painted orange. Gary now has the motor and I just though the two went together. 250 motor, 420 frame close but no cigar. Now I'll have to find a 76-77 junk frame? OL Dave

Ok Mike, I havn,t looked for one yet. Bummer, they look alike but sure didn't know I even had a 420 frame. It was junk, but ok for my mule. Just looked at it again, going to check it again  That 77 swingarm bolted right on??? May have to have Diane fix it for me and Ol Dave going back to  washing the dishs. Have a Happy New Year.
