I am replacing the old Bing with a newer Bing, probably late 70s era, and am wondering if anyone has done the same? It fits the airbox bot just fine, although I'll have to use radiator hose and clamps to mount it to the cylinder. The cylinder end is small and the carb end is larger....any ideas???
Thanks,
Clay

Oh, the formentioned bike is a 1972 Penton 125.
Thanks again,

Yes, I have done this. The easiest way is to use a intake manifold from a 78-79 125 and probebly 175 would also work. These are made for the rubber mounting. Al Buehner has the rubber mounting bushings but I doubt the manifold. These manfolds are angled but should work ok. There are also new style carbs with the slip fit from the 1977 models. In fact if those manfolds are the same as the bigger bikes I may have one.

You can also have a bushing made that fits the cylinder and has the same OD as the carb.
