I've talked to the seller of this 77 GS 6 250 on Craigslist near Lawrence, Kansas and he is going to be getting some better pictures tomorrow sent to me. I am currently scheduled to pick up a bike in Ada Oklahoma this coming weekend, and could alter my route to pick this bike up and bring it to the 50th anniversary celebration for $150 if anyone is interested in it. It does not have a kick lever but the shaft is there and no pipe or carburetor so the seller thinks it may be locked up. He has owned it for several years and that is the condition he bought it in. I don't necessarily need another project, but I hate for it to fall by the wayside. I will post the updated pictures when they become available. He sounds a little flexible on price. Just wanted to thank Michael Winters for his help in finding and delivering the 1977 GS 250 this weekend. His help is greatly appreciated! Probably never would have happened without the POG.
Turns out the motor was not locked up and the crank spins freely. Will need to examine the interior of the cases next to see how the magnesium has fared through all these years. Looking forward to bringing this one back to life!
Anyone have a 1977 GS 250 pipe they would be willing to part with? Your help is appreciated!
