RIM IGNORANCE AGAIN

As I have stated before I am motorcycle rim ignorant.  Will any of the Akront 36 hole rims lace up to my Penton hubs on a 100-125?  Thanks!

In a word, no, but the Penton hubs are of a pretty 'normal' size, and both spoke flanges are the same size which helps when fitting an average rim. If you can find out what model bike the rim has been drilled for you can look at photos and see the lacing pattern, ie. one cross, two cross....how many spokes does a spoke cross, on the same side of the wheel, as it makes its way out to the rim. if you have a new rim and a wheel already laced up, lay your new rim against the old rim, line up the spoke holes, and stick a spoke, with a nipple on it, through from the tire side, pull on it , and see at what angle does it want to be, same as the laced up one? Go from there, good luck. Before you take a wheel apart lay a straight edge on the side of the rim, without a tire on it, and see how this lines up with a reference point on the hub, sprocket...use this info for your offset. again, with the penton full width hubs the rim is laced centered over the spoke flanges. Good lacing!

These are ones that are new Akront copies for sale on eBay.  Trying to figure out if they will work.

Yes work perfectly with the drum hubs.  I laced and have two sets in service.  A bit of a bump in the weld area which makes truing them up interesting.  There is a non-shouldered version but none are being imported.  I stay away from the ultra cheap rims that are half this price.
