Early Berkshire Steel Tanker tank SOLD

   In moving items to another location I came across a gas tank for an early Steel Tank Berkshire. The tank has never had fuel in it, but I did mount it one time to a Steel Tank Six-Day to create what looked like a Berkshire for a POG display a number of years ago. There is still a dab of paint on each of the petcock threads from when new at the factory, no petcocks have ever been mounted to it. There is a flip open gas cap on it.

   I would say that both the tank and gas cap are NOS. This tank has NO mounting holes on the top for mounting a tank bag and it has the early decal on the top just below the gas cap. If you are doing an early Berkshire Steel Tanker project and need a tank I would feel you would be quite pleased with this one. Or, it would make a great addition to a Penton mancave display.
