Greetings. The April POG meeting will take place on Thursday April 6th. The meeting will take place in the Jackpiner meeting room of the KTM building located just west of beautiful downtown Amherst, Ohio. The meeting is open to one and all and will begin at 7 pm.

On another note. My friend Thad Wolff displayed his recently completed Steel Tanker project at the Trailblazer's banquet Saturday evening and had an unexpected visit by none other than Tom Penton. Thad said he was talking with a few folks and noticed a gent  with a Penton shirt on looking over his Penton and walked over to see if he could answer any questions, to Thad's great surprise it was Tom. Thad said he had a great time talking with Tom and was amazed at what a really nice guy Tom is. Thad sent along a couple of photos from the evening, one with he and Tom and another with Trailblazers inductee Danny Laport. Thad said his next stop with the Steel Tanker is The Quail Gathering and he is excited to see who he might run into at that event.

If Thad's name seems familiar to some of you, he had helped Dick Klamforth at the Daytona 200 Monument and was praised by Dick numerous times for his help.  Thad said he worked alongside Dick and John Penton at installing the brick pavers, he said he did a lot of brick cutting while Dick and John worked at putting the bricks in. Thad said that he stayed in Dick's condo at Daytona along with Dick and John a few times and had a few stories to tell about those adventurous times, which are best told over coffee and not over the internet !

If you have never visited The Daytona 200 Monument you are in for a real treat when you do. This link will take you to a video tour of it.
