I was talking with Kurt from Trail Rider Magazine earlier today and he provided me with some amazing information that I felt you folks might find interesting. Kurt posted the information and photo below concerning the passing of John Penton on his Trail Rider Magazine Facebook page, the number of views it has racked up is simply amazing, but most certainly well deserved, 158,966. Yes, one hundred fifty eight thousand, nine hundred sixty six views.

With a heavy heart, I share the news that one of my lifetime idols, John Penton, has left this world.
John was a larger than life figure, a veteran, innovator, and industry powerhouse. John's vision and expertise, along with a partnership with the Austrian bicycle and moped manufacturer KTM, led to the creation of the Penton brand of off-road motorcycles. For 10 years, all KTMs shipped to the US were badged as Penton Sportcycles.
Over the years, I've had the privilege to hang out and chat with John and I greatly enjoyed our conversations. Such a solid individual.
Thank you Mr Penton for all your contributions during your 100 years on this planet, you did a wonderful job. RIP my friend.
