In the many years that the Penton Owners Group has been in existence, there have been many highlights that are forever ingrained into my mind, and surely, many of yours as well.

Such as when the first POG newsletter came out, or when the Penton Sportcycle was named Featured Marque at Vintage Motorcycle Days and John Penton would be the Grand Marshall, or when Ed Youngblood presented his idea of writing a book about John Penton to us at a Penton Owners Group meeting, and most certainly that Great Day when the first books arrived from the printers!

Fifteen years ago today, November 22, 2010, is also one of those times that I will never, ever, forget. It was on that day that Todd Huffman of Pipeline Digital Media released the TEASER for the John Penton movie. I remember like it was yesterday sitting at my computer and playing the TEASER over and over again with the sound turned up pretty darn far. I was in the basement in my office and Judy was upstairs, I figured that at any moment she would be hollering down the stairs asking "just how many times are you going to watch that and if nothing else turn it down", but she never did, I think she knew just how very, very special the TEASER was to me, and legends of others as well.

Todd Huffman's creativity in creating the TEASER, combined with the sound of that Steel Tanker ridden by Rick Doughty, the incredible narration and singing by Lyle Lovett and of course the enthusiastic words of John Penton still have me getting goosebumps, even as I am writing this.

So, turn up the audio and click on the link below to see the first taste of what in due time would become the John Penton Story.

Wow!! Where DOES the time GO!!?? Mr. Huffman did an excellent job with the production of this movie, as he usually does,  and that was possible because he had a great subject matter to work with! Time to pull the DVD back out and watch it again, and remember.

   Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!!
