Motor Mount

What is the correct bolt size to that attaches to the back side ofthe clutch cover on my 74 400? I am talking about the left side downtubes thatattach to the backside of the clutch cover and to the upper frame mount. No matter what I do (loctite, etc. )I lose this bolt every race. The threads are not stripped and the bolt tightens correctly. Thanks!

If you are talking about the one that holds the strut from the frame to the motor on the left side, that should be a stud screwed into the motor (10mm x 1.50) and then a nut threaded onto the stud.  I think the nut will be an allen that looks like the one that holds the motor mount on the opposite side of the motor, back by the sprocket.  I know it is hard to get tight.  You need to be careful about using loctite on bolts that thread into aluminum or magnesium because the threads may come out with the bolt when you remove them.
