Hello
I have just picked up a penton motorcycle and know nothing about it.
The vin # 208574437 is stamped on the neck and the motor has 7176771 stamped on a plate on the right side of the engine. Under that number in real small numbers is 125 6b.
I would like to know what year this bike is if at all possible.
I might try to restore the bike however it is missing a lot of parts.
seat, cables, decenthandlebars, rear fender and god only knows what else.
The motor is complete w/carb and have the tank also which had a decal on it at one time, now long gone.
Thanks for your help

Brian..
According to the section on 'what year is it?'
your bike was made in the 8th month of 1972.(208xxx)
Keep an eye on ebay for those missing parts,
eventually they show up, and if you are lucky
you won't have to pay too much. Welcome and have fun!

Brian,
You have a 1972 Six Day 125 Penton.  A Penton is always worth restoring if you have the time and money to put into it.  The results of your efforts will be, in my opinion, a bike that will always be popular because of the DEDICATED people that are a part Penton heritage.
Wecome to the site and please ask questions.  Please keep in mind that it is always possible to find another Penton and combine the two to build one nice one.
I don't know where you are located, but if you will state that you may have someone in the group local that can help you.  Good luck on your find.
