Air Box

In 1976 was the fiberglass air box a different color other than white? I ordered the upper & Lower mud laps and I had to trim the top one down to fit under the air boot and the lower one didn't fit at all. As Kip Kern will attest there has been several MODS done to this bike and I was just wondering if this was one of them.As I think about it I thought the one on my 76 125 was white.
