I looking for some economical means of shipping bikes from various parts of the country to New York.  I have used Air Freight a couple of times, but it kind of expensive when you count the handling and shipping charges.  Does anyone know if there is there a cheaper way to get bikes tranported.  Thanks.  Motor on.

Hello Skiracer.
I once used a private hauling service called Dirt-n-dune, however by all indications he is no longer in business. I meet a guy at my old store the other day that hauls bike and cars and such. I don't know what his rates are, but here is his information for anyone that wants it.

skiracer,
I recently sold a quarter midget race car (small) and was contacted by someone that ships alot of products including motorcycles.  Their prices seem VERY resonable.  I believe the mans name is Kevin and their site is KartShip.com.  Let us know if you use them.
